Nando’s Werribee

Nandos Werribee had to be completely gutted and redone due to landlords’ issues with the integrity of the structural and support system. At the shopfront the beautiful messmate timbers were upcycled into a different arrangement and a rich green subway tile in a geometric pattern was installed as a plinth. This palette fused its way into the internal space where the combination of earthy muted tones, blacks, pops of ochre and verdant greens meander through the entire space in a consistent manner.

Most of the existing bulkhead’s delicate patterned timbers were again upcycled and fitted into the overall composition as a whole. This beautiful restaurant incorporates bespoke items such as condiments units with black steel details used to offset and tie in with the fenestration on the shopfront. LED light fittings were sourced from the design portal in South African and add to an overall calmness that emphasizes this interior space.
