Established in 2003, Zone Design specializes in the design & documentation of hospitality, retail and workplace Interior projects.
Our client base includes some of Australia’s most recognisable brands with whom we partner and design projects based on functionality, brand awareness and positive commercial outcomes.
Zone Design works predominantly in Australia, New Zealand, South Pacific Islands, Polynesian Islands and Southeast Asia including India, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore and Vietnam.
With a studio team of 14 in-house designers and 14 national and international design contractors, couple with its proven track record the Zone Design Team is very competently placed to achieve excellent project outcomes for its client base.

Our Directors and design management team have high end retail experience gained across a diversity of sectors . In addition to creating great design, they can provide further advice on negotiating Heads of Agreement, digital in-store technology, sustainable footprints, equipment/ furniture procurement and site analysis, including; signage opportunities, visibility, activation mechanics and enhanced foot traffic strategies.

DESIGN DIRECTOR
Cavin Chait, Design Director is an award winning South African architect with over 35 years industry experience (22 years in Australia)
In his past roles, he has been Development Director for a South African Listed Property Trust and Founder / Development Director of Strike Bowling Bars.
Cavin’s vast commercial & professional experience in all aspects of development, design & construction not only affords Zone Design’s client base cost-effective and pleasing aesthetic solutions, but also additional advantages in ensuring commercial viability, ongoing business longevity and positive ROFI.
Having been both a client side and contractor side project specialist, his ability to be proactive and pre-emptive is of real benefit to Zone Designs wide range of clients.

The Zone Design studio is managed by Hayden Hamuaha.

SENIOR ASSOCIATE | INTERIOR DESIGN
A Senior Associate at Zone Design, David Jukes leverages 15 years of multi-disciplinary experience in interior design and drafting.
Managing a diverse client portfolio with Interior design fit-outs spanning Australia, New Zealand, South East Asia and India. David has become our expert in International design and building standards across the region as well as at home.
David’s strengths lie in spatial planning and design development, process-driven drafting documentation management and proven expertise in technical detailing. David is a valued team leader with a focus on fostering a collaborative environment to propel the team towards creative excellence.
KATIE ALLAN
ASSOCIATE | INTERIOR DESIGN
Interior Design Associate Katie Allan has been designing restaurants and commercial hospitality spaces for Australia’s most recognized brands over the past 8 years and has been acknowledged for producing successful design outcomes.
Having worked as an Interior Designer / Design Manager for both Client-side brands, as well as for multi-disciplinary Architecture Design Studios, she has expert knowledge in all aspects of Commercial, Hospitality and Food Retail design fit outs.
A true Melbourne Foodie Katie prides herself in her hospitality and food retail expertise. Creating exciting and inviting spaces for customs across the Hospitality Food and Beverage Industry.
