Buying group News Xpress commissioned Zone to create a concept for its franchise stores.

In keeping with their image as quality boutique newsagencies, the new stores offer customers the variety of a newsagency with bookstore comfort.

The new stores are less cluttered with large practical countertops and exude warmth by use of dark timbers throughout.

Modified construction of an existing proprietary display system provided a stylish look in keeping with the concept, further enabling the boutique stores to stand out from the opposition.

The concept is easy to adapt to varying store conditions nation-wide, a feature crucial to the newsagent group. Centralising design with Zone so that franchisees can deal direct allows the News Xpress support centre to focus on other franchisee needs.
